A Letter From An SBIer
[From a person who changed his life to the President of Sitesell] Hi Ken, Just wanted to share that I broke the magical barrier of $1000 per day with my earnings - that's almost 4 years since I found SBI. I don't feel very comfortable sharing that for various reasons. I thought you might want to know about it, and assure you that Sitesell enables people to do some life changing projects. My website is my main earner - my record is 7800 daily visitors and the site earns on average over $300 per day in AdSense, over $200 per day with Chitika and over $200 per day with Amazon affiliate program. The rest I earn with my other sites... I am moving to a new apartment this month and I will have to take some credit of around $70,000. I told the lady in the bank that I will pay it back in a few months and she just couldn't get it. Most people pay such amount back in 10, 15 or 20 years. I am also flying business class to Thailand at the end of the year and will do a cruise from Singapore to other nice Asian countries. I've also motivated about 5 or 6 of my friends and persuaded them to start with SBI so you might see more people change their life. I don't have to persuade my friends much - they just see how I live and the desire for freedom eventually wins in their minds. It's sad to realize that all this time they believed that freedom is not possible. It is! Best regards, --------------------------------- What a letter! Now, this is not a Case Study SBIer, just someone who followed the Action Guide, persisted and exceeded his earliest goals. Before we get into the letter... Most people, online or off, successful or not, don't like talking about how much money they make. There are many reasons for that, but it's not the point of this post. So let's just call it "one of those things." Whenever an SBIer tries to do a survey in the forums about "how much do you make," We avoid it. Most won't reply. Some will exaggerate. Others will ask, "what's the point?" It's an exercise in futility. Heck, your country's tax department has enough trouble with that question! But while we don't like talking about how much we make, at the end of the day, most people do use SBI! to build a business to make money. How much money do they want to make, and why? It varies... Younger people (20s, 30s, and 40s) have longer-term goals and want to exceed the pay of a full-time job. Mid-aged (40s, 50s and 60s) often want to replace a lost job, either actual or potential -- they may think, too, about building equity value for that nest egg when they sell their business and retire. Stay-at-home spouses may want to supplement family incomes. Older SBIers (60s +) may want to add to their pensions. College students can earn more online than at menial summer jobs, learn a critical life skill, and build on it for the future. We're all different. Most people (like me) need to love what they do from the get-go. That's the problem with "jobs." Unless you are very lucky, you don't usually get a job you love. Actually, most people usually end up working five days to live for the weekends. You should never feel that way. Life is too short. It's my best reason for having your own business. -----SIDEBAR----- Some SBIers can find higher-income-producing niches and become experts in them. Regardless, they still need to enjoy what they do. It's hard to be great if you don't. -----SIDEBAR----- For some, the income is actually secondary and passion is paramount (i.e., it's closer to a hobby that pays you). Either way, passion and knowledge normally come first. That's why DAYS 2 and 3 focus on what you know and love and DAY 4 is the "monetization check." In other words, find what you know and love and then make sure there is a business in it. -----SIDEBAR----- As mentioned, some do adapt the process to find income-producing niches and if it's interesting, they research it to death until they become experts in it. As long as they grow their knowledge in an area to where they really know it and add value, it's an acceptable variation. -----SIDEBAR----- Sploggers go about it a different way. They find high-CPC keywords with reasonable demand. They create fake content for it, usually by ripping off content from high-ranking sites and changing it "just enough." Then they build tons more fake content with inbound links to the "money page," often using automated slice-and-dice spam-content software, some of which even submit to article-marketing sites where they have established fake identities. They make hundreds of these (yes, hundreds). They avoid Google detection. A few (out of the hundreds) might rank and earn some AdSense income (although there's not a single good Case Study to this effect)... until Google kills this fake technique. Can anything be more demoralizing and soul-destroying? Take content from others? Create hundreds of tedious micro-splogs with thousands of inbound link pages, all of it Web pollution? The central essence of capitalism is to make money by adding value. Ultimately, if you don't add value, you won't succeed. It's the central essence of SBI! Let's take a look at this letter and find the lessons... 1) Quote: "that's almost 4 years since I found SBI" -- This speaks to perseverance. It also speaks to the most common reason to fail at SBI! -- the most common reason to fail is to quit. When do they do that?... When they realize it's going to take work. SBI! eliminates all the barriers, which means you get 10X as much out of the hours you put into your business. But you still need to put work into building a real business. That will never change. If it did, we would suddenly have Utopia where we'd all be rich with no work. Not likely. This person grew. Each year, he built upon the previous. I promise you... There's nothing sensationally genius about this. He didn't invent Twitter or the next great Search Engine. He just followed the Action Guide. One site started to go. He added another. He found one that really monetized well. And so on. He worked and persevered. 2) Like most SBIers, he's a generous person... "I thought you might want to know about it, and assure you that Sitesell enables people to do some life changing projects." This is what drives me. If we can make a positive impact on people's lives, one that is sustainable and will grow over time, that's our biggest value-add. It's generous of him to write and let me know how he is doing. And it's nice of him to let me share this with you. He gets zero publicity from it, but it may help you get to where you want to be. I am continuously struck by the quality of SBIers as human beings. There's something in the process, from the sales sites which take some time to "get it" due to all the documentation (but without it, who would believe it), to the first month where you settle down to work, to the SBI! forums, there is a tuning fork that vibrates throughout SBI! that puts us all on the same frequency. Those who don't have the right attributes move on. 3) Speaking of which, if you have not yet seen that "success is merely the absence of failure" and that you are usually the source of your own failure. Look hard. Be honest. When you find yourself, you won't change. But you can recognize and control the roadblocks you have been putting in front of yourself. 4) What does "money" mean to you? If it's just a number in a bank account, it's not much of a goal. If it's a new apartment" and expensive vacations, make them your goals, not the money. If it's sending your 10 year old to college, that may drive you even more. But ultimately, all of those "things" (even college for the kids) boils down to... 5) Freedom and independence. You can do what you want to do. You are beholding to no one. As this person said... his friends "see how I live and the desire for freedom eventually wins in their minds." Think about it. This person researched and found niches. He added value. Traffic grew. He monetized it (and do explore the Monetization HQ monthly for new ways to monetize your growing traffic). He's free. 6) And the one that struck me the most is this one... "It's sad to realize that all this time they believed that freedom is not possible. It is! " 4 years ago, when this person bought SBI!, there were 98-99 people who did not. That's the ratio for every SBIer who purchases. 98-99 others visited the site and passed on SBI!. Or they refunded because it was too much work or "just not for me." What happened to them? They went on to look for the promised land of GRQ. But there is simply no easy way to build a real, income-earning business with long-term growth and equity. 4 years later, where are they? Probably buying and trying a 10th product with great promise (and a better sales letter). You, however, are an SBIer. And that means that you have passed the biggest hurdle... recognizing SBI!. It's all in your hands. Is your success guaranteed if you really work at it? Nope, you may make a mistake. The SBI! forums and SBI! Coaching should reduce that likelihood, but it happens. So what do you do? Give up? Or regroup, learn from it, and either adjust or start over with a new domain? Nope, you may execute part of it really poorly (ex., VPP and voice). If it's just not happening, ask in the SBI! forums or get an hour or two of one-on-one SBI! Coaching...
Ask yourself ... - Why YOU would want to take the course?
- Find out how IT! will deliver your goals. Bottom line?...
